OK, has anyone really thought about the lyrics to this lullaby? I mean who would put a cradle in the top of a tree and then talk about how if the wind blows and bough breaks the cradle will fall. Down will come baby cradle and all? What a horrible song! Anyway, I was just humming this song to myself this past weekend while I was doing stuff in the nursery and realized how awful it was. I will never sing it to Bella...
So last Thursday night my mom and dad came up to have dinner with Jason and me. We went to eat at Razzoo's in Mesquite, which is sort of a scary town, but we made it and I had some tasty Catfish. Trying to stock up on that DHA and Omega 3's for Isabella! Dad had to go back - tax season and all - but mom stayed the night and I took Friday off so we could do baby stuff! We got up and ate at Benedict's in Addison - if you have never been there for breakfast go. It is so good! Then we went to Target and got some random stuff I needed and then went to Destination Maternity to get just a few more maternity clothes to last me the rest of my pregnancy.
After that we came home and just did stuff in the nursery. Jason and I had put together the changing table the night before and our dresser and hutch was getting delivered that day. So we started washing baby clothes and basically just going through everything I have and getting all girly and excited about it. We got the dresser right on time and put some stuff in it too. I have decided that I need a couple more tables in there just to set stuff on. I also still have to order my rocking chair and ottoman. And there are about a million other things I guess too, but we did get a lot accomplished. Here are some pics if you are interested...
Saturday Jason and I had the second half of our birthing class and got to take a tour of the hospital so that was fun. The rooms are reallly nice, just smaller than I thought they would be. But that's ok. I won't be there long and will probably be too tired to notice. Saturday night we grilled out brats and watched Milk. A movie I didn't really want to watch, but Jason got it online - totally legally... - and it WAS nominated for Best Picture so I felt I owed it to myself as a self-proclaimed movie buff to watch it. It was fine. Good acting, well done and all that, but honestly I have seen several movies that I thought were better this year. I feel like it was nominated only because of the subject matter. Oh well.
Sunday we went to church and then were going to go eat at Gloria's for brunch/lunch. Have you been to Gloria's on Greenville lately? It is gone. Under rennovation. I guess they are taking over that Starbucks that was next door. Luckily they will reopen in a few weeks, but I almost had a heart attack thinking they were gone for good. We went to Blue Goose instead which was actually quite delicious. I really never eat there, but maybe I should. I had these chilaquiles that were super delicious and their chips and salsa were really good. I am kind of picky about chips and salsa.
Sunday night I had book club at my house and then we watched the Oscars. I thought it was one of the best shows in years. Hugh Jackman did a great job. He is big on the Broadway scene and it really played like a Broadway show in parts, so of course I loved it. =)
This coming weekend is my shower in Dallas that my friends are throwing me so I am looking forward to that! Other than that, just getting bigger by the second and trying to get things together for Isabella's arrival. I will post some new belly pics soon I promise. I am gigantic.

Happy Valentine's!
Jason and I have been married almost 4 years now. I can hardly believe that sometimes, but it will be four years March 5. We always take turns planning the Valentine's Day plans, but this year they were sort of planned for us. We had our first birthing class on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. Didn't give us a lot of time afterward to do much, so we just went by Central Market and got ingredients for a dinner that Jason had picked out to make for me. Just a word of advice...that was everyone else in Dallas's idea as well, so try to avoid CM on holidays. It was PACKED! The birthing class was good. I learned a lot of interesting things that I had no idea about. It is amazing how much you can read and read and think you know what to expect, but you see that birthing video and you are like oh wow. All I can say is I don't know why anyone wouldn't get an epidural. I will be requesting it the second I walk in to the hospital.
So Jason picked out the dinner to make for Valentine's, and we got all the ingredients and then I just sort of gave him a little cooking lesson to help him out. He has been learning a lot lately. Last week I showed him how to make iced tea, this week it was fettuccine with bolognese sauce, next week I will be utterly useless to him! I will have to come up with other ways to keep him around. =) But dinner was delicious and we watched Vicky Christina Barcelona, which I have to say I didn't love. I just kind of hated the whole message of it and it sort of depressed me. Oh well.
Sunday we attended the church of Samsung because the tile guy was coming to do our shower. So we decided to build the crib and I still had a lot of organizing to do for the nursery. Mom is coming up this Friday and I am taking the day off and we are going to just decorate and put stuff where it will need to go and basically just play in the nursery. =) I am excited about it. So anyway, Jason got the crib put together with very little help from me - it is getting hard for me to do ANYthing, much less lift heavy objects and such. I mostly just played with all the toys and clothes and I turned on anything musical for the dogs to hear. They say you are supposed to introduce them to any new sounds or smells before the baby gets there so they aren't in 'what the heck is all this stuff that this new person has brought in to my house' mode later on. So here are some pics of the crib.
Jason working on it...
Getting closer...
And the finished product...
So cute! =) At least I think so.
So after the tile guy was done and we cleaned up a bit, we went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I felt like the only person who hadn't seen it and that was evident by the fact that it is hardly playing anywhere anymore. So we found a place that had it and headed off and I loved it! It is kind of long, but I thought it was so good and cried my eyes out about the last half of it. Cate Blanchett is so dang pretty and she has had three kids! I hope I can hold up as well! After that we walked out and Jason realized that in the next theater The International was about to start and he had been wanting to see that so we got some popcorn and snuck in to that theater. We used to do these double movie for the price of one days a lot, but haven't in a while. I am usually not the type of person to break any rule of any sort, but I feel like they are making all their money on concessions that we are only too happy to buy anyway, and they are going to show the movie whether we are there or not. So what's the harm right? =)
The International was just ok. I felt like I had seen that movie about ten times before, but whatever. It wasn't awful and Jason liked it. So we came back home and had a quick dinner before crawling in to bed. We have been getting in to bed earlier and earlier lately, mostly because by about 8 o clock I am done for. Maybe not super sleepy, but just physically exhausted. It is taxing having an extra 20 pounds or so strapped around your waist at all times.
So I have 29 work days left until my maternity leave and I am SO ready to be done. I have a few things I have to wrap up before I head off, but I am excited. We have one more birthing class next Saturday and I have another shower the weekend after that and hopefully by that point we will be pretty prepared (yes I know we will never REALLY be prepared) for Isabella's arrival. Can't wait!

Jason's 30th Birthday
Jason's birthday was on Super Bowl Sunday this year. We wanted to have a party but knew no one was coming if we had it then, so we ended up doing all his birthday stuff this past weekend. Since it was his 30th I wanted to do something really cool and special for it and so I asked him months in advance if I could just have one Saturday of his to plan some fun stuff for him. So I had been planning for a while and after going through many ideas, I had last Saturday planned out. I didn't tell him anything we were doing so he was all excited and looking forward to it.
If you know Jason at all you know he is in to cars. Mostly fast, expensive cars. My initial idea was to rent him some sort of awesome car for the day while we went and did fun stuff. But looking around I couldn't really find what I was looking for, not to mention it was CRAZY expensive to do so. In the process of looking for a car to rent, though, I found this thing called Drive Your Dream by DFW Elite Auto. Basically you sign up to drive like 5 different cars over the course of a few hours out on back roads around Ft. Worth. It sounded like the perfect thing for Jason, so I signed him up. For a little extra I got to ride as his passenger and that way he could drive the whole time and not have to switch with another person. I wasn't sure how much fun I would have, but it turned out to be really fun! Basically we started in Ft. Worth and went on a 170 mile loop down to Burleson, over to Granbury, back up to Weatherford and then back to Ft. Worth. He got to drive a Ferrari F430, Porsche 911 Carrera, Audi R8, Lamborghini Guillardo and a Dodge Viper. If you want a play by play, Jason has put together our video that I took if you want to watch it for more detail. Especially enjoy the part where we get pulled over in the Lamborghini. =)

So Jason pretty much loved it and I think I got major brownie points for that one. Next up we went to eat at this place in Deep Elum called Cowboy Chow. I had read about it in D Magazine and it sounded right up his alley so we tried it out. I thought it was all delicious and it is kind of kitschy and cool. I highly recommend the sweet watermelon tea.
After lunch we headed to the Crescent to get massages. I got a pregnancy massage which was AWESOME. I think I didn't realize how tired my muscles were from carrying around all this extra weight all the time, but it was SO nice. Jason got a massage too and then we headed home to get ready for dinner.
Jason had been wanting to try Jasper's for a while, so I made us a reservation for dinner and it was delicious! We had a lot of food. We started with these blue cheese potato chips, which were super tasty, but very rich. Then we had a salad and then I had almond crusted trout and Jason had a bone in filet. Both were very good as well as were the sides - corn in a jalapeno cream sauce and a mac n cheese with ham in it. For dessert we had a sort of banana mousse pudding. YUMMY! It was all very tasty. I would highly recommend it. After that we basically went home and passed out.
Sunday we had all of Jason's closest friends over for a bbq. We ordered ribs from the Salt Lick in Driftwood and then had brisket and sides and then a cookie cake, which I have been meaning to get him for his birthday for about three years and keep forgetting. Sorry honey! It was really good to see everyone, and the weather was great so we even got to sit outside on the patio some. We also had three different babies at our party! I guess we are just getting to that age huh? Soon we will have one more to add to the crew!
So all in all it was a busy but fun weekend. I hope Jason had a great time for his 30th birthday! I love you honey. =)

New Belly Pics
So here are the latest belly pics. I think the last ones look bigger, maybe because the camera was closer or something, but trust me. I am a huge huge person right now. I feel like I am growing every second. I am now going to the doctor every two weeks and only have 10 weeks left!! We still have so much to do, but we are getting our new carpet in next week so as soon as we have that in we will be able to start putting our crib and furniture together. Can't wait!!
